The Learning Center has Active, Associate and Affiliate Memberships. All members have access to the A-V resources of the Learning Center.

Several programs per year are held at each Active Member facility, and the programs are geared toward that particular facility’s educational needs.
Each Active member organization designates one person to represent them at meetings. The Board of Directors consists of the Active Members and they make final programming determinations. The Board elects an executive committee consisting of a president, president elect, secretary-treasurer, and past president. The elected term is for two years. The Executive Committee works directly with the Executive Director to develop Learning Center activities. The Executive Director is responsible for organizing Learning Center functions and reports directly to the Executive Committee.
What Does Membership Mean to You?This would be a valuable educational tool for your organization. As an Active member programs will be presented in your facility. The savings would include mileage, hotel, meals, time away from the facility. An example:
If you would send 20 people to a 2-hour workshop in Billings costs
would be:
- 20 people X $25 registration fee = $ 500
- Mileage (5 cars X $40) =$ 200
- Salaries for 20 people all day =$ 1200
- Cost to send =$1900

Plus, the unlimited use of our audiovisual materials is a valuable resource. Audiovisual materials are expensive to buy. Many of the video programs we have in our library cost $500-$1000 to purchase and if you have any of the Learning Center Memberships you can use these for free. We make all of our audiovisual purchases from your recommendations. Therefore if there is a video program you would like us to purchase all you have to do is call the Executive Director and send the information to the Learning Center office. Money is designated in our budget each year for audiovisual purchases.
When you find it necessary to travel outside of your facility, the Learning Center sponsors pertinent workshops in Billings. Learning Center Members receive a substantial discount, for some workshops the savings are $150 per person.
Active Membership
Membership fees - $1500
Services available to Active Members:
- Two Continuing Health Education Training Seminars in rural Active Member facilities
One onsite and one teleconference program shared with all members.
- Minimum registration fees for workshops and seminars held in Billings
- Use of audiovisual materials at no charge
- Provide a forum in which to meet other segments of the health industry and discuss common problems and opportunities.
Associate Members
Membership fee-$500 per year
Services available to Associate Members:
- Minimum registration fees for workshops and seminars held in Billings
- Use of audiovisual materials at no charge
- Provide a forum in which to meet other segments of the health industry and discuss common problems and opportunities
- One teleconference program shared with all members.
Organizations outside of our normal Service Area
Membership fee-$500 per year
Services available to Affiliate Members:
- Minimum registration fees for workshops and seminars held in Billings
- Use of audiovisual materials at no charge
- Provide a forum in which to meet other segments of the health industry and discuss common problems and opportunities.
