The District 6 Health Care Learning Center was established as
a nonprofit corporation in August, 1974, by nine hospitals in South-central
Montana. At that time, development grants were received from Intermountain
Regional Medical program and from Mountain States Regional Medical Program,
and these grants continued until 1977. Now, Learning Center financial
support is provided entirely by membership dues and program registration
fees.
As of 2006, 10 health related facilities and organizations
have become members of District 6 Health Care Learning Center.
The goal of District 6 Health Care Learning Center is to provide
health educational programs and resources for health care facilities
and related agencies in a manner designed to improve the quality of health
care in South-central Montana and in Northern Wyoming.
